Microsoft will no longer fix or improve Windows 8

Today marked the end of Microsoft’s mainstream support for its Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. This doesn’t mean Windows 8 and 8.1 are as dead as Windows XP just yet as users running Windows 8 or 8.1 will continue to receive security updates until January 10^th 2023.

Of course, Windows 10 is still much better than Windows 8 and 8.1 in terms of features, usability, and security so if you really want the best operating system that Windows can offer it’d still be best to update to Windows 10, even if your Windows 8 operating system is still receiving security updates.
